that a general class of integral equations has a solution. 1. Introduction Motivated by a problem in implicit function theory, we formulate an existence problem in integral equations. Two xed point theorems are proved enabling us to solve the integral equation. The work can be introduced in three subsections. (a) The problem: An integral equation. We analyse different kinds of stabilities for classes of nonlinear integral equations of Fredholm and Volterra type. Sufficient conditions are obtained in order to guarantee Hyers‐Ulam‐Rassias, σ‐semi‐Hyers‐Ulam and Hyers‐Ulam stabilities for those integral equations. Finite and infinite intervals are considered as integration domains.
